Thank You

Thank you so much for your feedback. I completely understand the frustration around the challenges at last weekend’s events—we ran into a number of unexpected hurdles that affected how the days unfolded.
As the Series Director and Tabulator (and pretty much a one‑woman show!), I wasn’t able to be there in person unfortunately. Rather than cancel the weekend, the ADK staff really pulled together to make sure the events could still take place on Gore’s nationally recognized cross course, giving athletes valuable time on such a special venue.
We also struggled with a shortage of volunteers, despite sending out multiple requests. This made things a bit tougher than usual, especially with so many out‑of‑series athletes attending. After hearing concerns from athletes and coaches during Sunday morning practice, we adjusted the event format from our typical small‑series structure. Haley and Bob worked incredibly hard all weekend using software they weren’t familiar with, all while dealing with technical problems, software issues, and continued internet outages.
Winter weather didn’t help either. While we can’t control Mother Nature, we do encourage anyone traveling to out‑of‑series events to plan for a longer trip home after a full day on the hill. Brackets were completed on Sunday at 1:37 p.m.—I checked this personally. Medals were available at the tent for quick pickup, knowing that the day had been long. As always, the ADK Series provided prizes at our own expense, not through the National office.
I also want to thank everyone for being so patient while waiting for results. Given everything happening behind the scenes, we really wanted to make sure everything was accurate before posting, and your understanding made that possible.
And finally, a huge thank‑you to the ADK crew and the volunteers who stepped up. Their hard work and dedication kept the event moving despite all the challenges and my absence. Their efforts are the only reason the event could happen instead of being canceled.
Thank you all again for your understanding and support.
